“Mum, you must come here, this country is so you!” In December 2001 Marvi landed in Sydney to be reunited with her younger son. Falling in love with the Sunburnt Country was instant. Till death do us part, she thought; till visa requirements tear us apart, she was to learn. The Visa Saga retells the peculiar story of this aspiring migrant with a touch of South American flair and a passionate Latin voice.
Born and raised in Brazil, holder of Swiss citizenship, Marvi is an anglophile. She is devoted to Australia, where she has lived for over a decade. Follow Marvi on the pursuit of her Australian dream and cheer her on as she takes you on her travels between continents and diverse cultures.
Marvi del Nero was born in Brazil and has travelled widely (at times wildly) and worked as a language teacher in Brazil, Switzerland and Australia. Ms. del Nero is not only a bibliophile but also an avid writer. She attended Creative Writing Courses at her local Community College in Australia as well as a course especially designed for the Hispanic Women’s Association in NSW Australia. Marvi has had some success in Writing Competitions in Australia with her short stories:
Marvi is keen on languages, multiculturalism, complementary therapies and nature protection.
